Curtis Lee Mayfield (June 3, 1942 – December 26, 1999) was an American soul, rhythm and blues, and funk singer, songwriter, and record producer best known for his anthemic music with The Impressions and composing the soundtrack to the blaxploitation film Super Fly. From these works and others, he is highly regarded as a pioneer of funk and of politically conscious African-American music.He was also a multi-instrumentalist who played the guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, and drums. Sweet Exorcist is a 1974 album by Curtis Mayfield. The album was recorded at Curtom Studios, acquired by Curtis Mayfield's Curtom record label from RCA, in Chicago by R. Anfinsen and J. Janus. Once upon a time the music of the 70s, Disco Music, Funky, Soul, Pop Music, who made the history of those years. I was born in the mid 60s, so i lived right in the evolution of these sounds. This blog wants to revive after more than 20 years, the music of those years, memories, friends, first loves ..... For those not familiar with these genres, is a good opportunity to approach these fantastic sounds. Welcome to all and good listening....
