On the commemorative 50th Anniversary of the Billboard Hot 100 issue of Billboard magazine in June 2008, Gaye's version was ranked as the 65th biggest song on the chart.It was also inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame for "historical, artistic and significant" value.

He is a great singer indeed. No wonder Rolling Stones magazine put him in the top 10 of their greatest singers list.
Welcome C.A.T, Marvin Gaye was one of the artists that I have loved his voice, also his songs, his words have always had a sense. Sorry to see a father who kills a son, as happened in this sad story of a great and unforgettable artist.
It's really sad indeed. Despite his success, he lead a "complicated" life and his relation with his dad never got any better, something that's also experienced by many other great artists. But what happened to him is probably the worst possible.
