Carlos Santana Abraxas 1970

Abraxas is the second studio album by the latin band Santana. Consolidating their live success at the Woodstock Festival in 1969, and the interest generated by their first album the band took some time to issue a follow-up. Released in September, 1970, the album's mix of rock, blues, jazz, salsa and other influences made it a classic that defined Santana's early sound, and showed a musical maturation from their first album.

Barry Manilow One Voice 1979

One Voice is the sixth studio album by singer and songwriter Barry Manilow. The album was recorded at United Western Studios and Allen Zentz Recording in Hollywood. The album was a signature of a minor decline in Manilow's success. It reached double platinum, not triple platinum, as his past six albums did. It was released in 1979. The album only contained one Top 10 hit, "Ships", which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The title cut "One Voice" was featured in a lengthy segment in the British comedy show Only Fools and Horses, where the show's central character Del Boy starts singing the song outside a block of flats late at night after he's been drinking, starting a riot.
The song "Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed?" was sampled in the song "Superheroes" by Daft Punk in the album Discovery.

Electric Light Orchestra_Discovery_1979

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) were a British rock group from Birmingham, who released eleven studio albums between 1971 and 1986 and another album in 2001. ELO were formed to accommodate Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. After Wood's departure following the band's debut record, Lynne wrote and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every album.
Despite early singles success in the UK the band were initially more successful in the United States, billed as "The English guys with the big fiddles".They soon gained a cult following despite lukewarm reviews back in their native United Kingdom. By the mid-1970s, they had become one of the biggest selling bands in music. From 1972 to 1986, ELO accumulated 27 Top 40 hit singles in both the UK and the US. The group also scored 20 Top 20 U.K. hit singles, as well as 19 Top 20 hit singles in the U.S. Billboard charts. The band also holds the record for having the most Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hits of any band in US chart history without ever having a number one single.

War _ Galaxy 1977

War (originally called Eric Burdon and War) is an American funk band from California, known for the hit songs "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", "The Cisco Kid" and "Why Can't We Be Friends?". Formed in 1969, War was a musical crossover band which fused elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, and reggae. The band also transcended racial and cultural barriers with a multi-ethnic line-up. The band has sold over 50 million records to date.
Although War's lyrics are often socio-political in nature, their music usually had a laid-back, California funk vibe. A particular feature of War's sound is the use of harmonica and saxophone playing melody lines in unison, sounding like a single instrument, for example in the melody of "Low Rider". The music has been sampled and recorded by many singers and groups, ranging from R&B / pop singers such as Janet Jackson to nu metal band Korn and hip hop groups like TLC.

Carlito's Way - Soundtrack

Carlito's Way is a 1993 film directed by Brian De Palma, starring Al Pacino and Sean Penn. The film is based on the novels Carlito's Way and After Hours, in particular, written by Judge Edwin Torres, but it was decided to use the title of the first novel to avoid that the film could be confused with the homonymous film by Martin Scorsese in 1985.

Four Tops _ Early Classic

This is the classic Temptations era from 1964 to 1968, with 1968 being unrepresented. "(You're My) Dream Come True" is the sole exception, with the release date of 1962. For the Temptations-challenged, their classic era began and ended with David Ruffin. This is a good album for Temptations completists for the B-sides and album cuts, but front runners will bemoan the omission of classics like "The Way You Do the Things You Do," "I Know I'm Losing You," etc. Eddie Kendricks leads the most songs, Ruffin fronts five, and Paul Williams works his baritone on two selections, including Smokey Robinson and Ronnie White's lilting "Don't Look Back."

2. Love Feels Like Fire
3. I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)

Sly & the Family Stone_Back on the Right Track_1979

Back on the Right Track is the ninth album by Sly & the Family Stone, released by Warner Bros. Records in 1979. The album was, as its title alludes to, an overt comeback attempt for Sly Stone. However, the album and its singles, "Remember Who You Are" and "The Same Thing (Makes You Laugh, Makes You Cry)", failed to live up to expectations. Some of the original Family Stone members, including Cynthia Robinson, Pat Rizzo, Freddie Stone, and Rose Stone, make contributions to this album. Back on the Right Track is the first Sly Stone album not to be produced by the artist; Mark Davis was in charge of the project.Back on the Right Track and the following studio release, Ain't But the One Way, were combined by Rhino Records into a compilation called Who in the Funk Do You Think You Are: The Warner Bros. Recordings in 1994.

The Graduate_ Il Laureato_O.S.T_(1967)

The Graduate is a 1967 American comedy-drama film directed by Mike Nichols. It is based on the 1963 novel The Graduate by Charles Webb, who wrote it shortly after graduating from Williams College. The screenplay was by Buck Henry, who makes a cameo appearance as a hotel clerk, and Calder Willingham. The film tells the story of Benjamin Braddock (played by Dustin Hoffman), a recent university graduate with no well-defined aim in life, who is seduced by an older woman, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), and then proceeds to fall in love with her daughter Elaine (Katharine Ross). In 1996, The Graduate was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". It ranked as the seventh greatest film of all time on AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movies.
Adjusted for inflation, the film is #19 on the list of highest-grossing films in the United States and Canada. Embassy Pictures distributed in North America, while United Artists handled the initial international release.
