The Beginning of the End was a funk group from Nassau, Bahamas. The group consisted of three brothers and a fourth member on bass.They released an album entitled Funky Nassau in 1971 on Alston Records (a subsidiary of Atlantic Records), and the track "Funky Nassau - Part I" became a hit single in the U.S., peaking at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and #7 on the Billboard Black Singles chart.The same track reached #31 in the UK Singles Chart in March 1974.

Roberta Flack - The Best Of

Roberta Flack (Asheville, February 10, 1937) is an American singer.Active in the genres jazz, soul and folk, the Flack is primarily known for the single Killing Me Softly With His Song, with whom he won the Grammy Award for best album of 1974, and Where Is the Love, one of her many duets with Donny Hathaway.In the seventies he collaborated with singer-songwriter Bob Dylan in the Rolling Thunder Revue, whose concerts were filmed for the autumn of 1975 before being included in the 1978 film, written and directed by Dylan's Renaldo and Clara. In the film, plays host to a singer Dylan concerts.

Amy Winehouse is dead

The 27 year old singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in his London home. The news, anticipated by Sky News has been confirmed by police. The death, according to British media, was caused by a cocktail of alcohol and drugs, and sources quoted by Sky News still generally attribute it to an overdose. The singer and songwriter of the rest had a history of abuse and dependence that personal alcohol and drug abuse. The police is cautious and says only that the circumstances of death are "still to be clarified." Amy Winehouse was rescued in his apartment in Camden Square after a call to the emergency center, at 15.54, had sent two ambulances on site.

The Jackson Sisters 1976

The Jackson Sisters (not to be confused with Jackson sisters, La Toya, Janet, and Rebbie who were the siblings to American soul group the Jackson Five) were an American soul and disco family group in the 1970s. The group hailed from Compton, California but were based in Detroit, Michigan.
The Jackson Sisters were Jacqueline Jackson-Rencher, Lyn Jackson, Pat Jackson, Rae Jackson and Gennie Jackson. They recorded material for the Tiger Lily Records label, obtaining some modest success in the 1970s. However the group really came into their own nearly a decade later, following the emergence of the rare groove scene in the UK. Many of their songs were written by Johnny Bristol. Bobby Taylor, produced and co-wrote their rare groove anthem, "I Believe In Miracles", in 1976. The track reached #72 in the UK Singles Chart in June 1987.

Temptations In A Mellow Mood 1967

The Temptations in a Mellow Mood is a 1967 album by The Temptations for the Motown label. Composed primarily of pop standards such as "Ol' Man River" and "For Once in My Life", and similar songs written by Holland-Dozier-Holland and other Motown staff songwriters, the Mellow Mood album was part of Motown chief Berry Gordy's crossover plans for the group. Gordy wanted the Temptations, already the most popular male group among black audiences, to attract a large white fanbase and be able to secure playdates at supper clubs like the Copacabana, where the group had first performed in the summer of 1967.
